The lightweight carbon fiber frame features our weight-saving FlexPivot technology and houses a custom battery that packs more watts per kilo than any other on the market. Full Boost Power comes from a custom-tuned version of Shimano's EP801 drive unit – the lightest motor capable of the big power we were looking for. With 85Nm of torque and 600+ watts of max output, it brings big-time boost to the lightweight party. Power a la Mode We developed custom ride modes for Moterra SL, specially tuned for the kind of high-speed sessions this rig encourages. Four different levels of boost, easily adjustable on the fly, help you choose between maximum range, monstrous power, or your ideal blend of both. Whether mild or wild, your ride will be whatever you want it to be, no more and no less. Heavenly Handling At a glance, it looks kinda crazy – an adjustable head angle slack enough for a DH bike, the long reach and steep seat angle of a modern trail bike, suspension layout, and geometry fully customized by size – but when it all comes together, it absolutely rips. Animated Suspension? More than just weight-savers, our burly FlexPivot stays are also at the heart of our suspension design. By acting as a Horst pivot, it creates a true four-bar system, allowing our engineers to dial in the perfect suspension response for every input. The result? Incredible traction, confident braking, and a playful feel that just begs to be pushed harder.

Do Everything, and Do It Better The new Switchblade has a slacker head angle, steeper seat angle, increased reach and a longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Size-specific chainstays are tucked in and responsive but grow incrementally longer on larger frames. This translates to added stability at warp speeds while still maintaining the snap and pop that is ingrained in the Switchblade’s DNA. From Trail to Park The new Switchblade is light enough to pedal all day, but stout enough to run a Fox 38 without any worries. You can spin this rig up into the jagged high places, and it is burly enough, composed enough, planted enough and smooth enough to smash every line all the way back down, laughing the whole way. Hail the Evolution! The latest iteration of this legendary machine features an incredibly refined dw-Link suspension that stitches together the pedaling response and agility of the Trail 429 with the battle-hardened, EWS-proven, big terrain suspension and handling chops of the Firebird. Pivot trail bikes pedal with near cross-country race efficiency for the longest, steepest climbs, but with the chops to carry you through technical trails that verge on black diamond.
